PATIENT INFORMATION

1. What is home care?

Home care allows for continued medical treatment in a comfortable, familiar environment in your home.  It keeps families together while helping them adjust to a new lifestyle and maintains a sense of dignity for the patient. Our home care representatives are dedicated to meeting your health care needs.

2. Who pays for home care?

Medicare Part A covers of the cost of necessary home health care. Medicaid covers home health, hospice and personal assistance/community care services. Most health insurance policies and HMOs now cover skilled home health care and hospice. In addition, workers’ compensation and the Veteran’s Administration cover home health services. The payers often require that services be delivered by a licensed and regulated home care agency, such as Eminent Home Health Care.

Even without the above payer sources, many people choose to pay for home care services out-of-pocket, because they prefer to live at home. By choosing to receive these services through a licensed, reputable and experienced agency like Eminent, loved ones can enjoy the peace of mind of knowing they have made the best decision.
